The Plateau state Police command commissioner, CP Nasiru Oki has said security apparatus have been beef up in all the strategic areas to ensure visibility of policing in all the entrance and worship places within the state capital
The commissioner disclosed this during a press conference in his office to commensurate the Sallah Day celebration in the state.
Oki warned against carrying hand bags to prayer grounds and advice religion leaders to cooperate with the security apparatus by assisting them in arresting bad eggs and fetch them out in the society.
The police boss warns religion leaders to ensure that their subjects do not throw sachet water during the festive period and to avoid causing crisis.
Oki explained that the command have adequate manpower to tackle challenges of youth restiveness in this Sallah period by warning parents to advice the children against anything capable of bridging the peace of the state.
He also vowed to deal with criminals by employing community policing to raise all their hideout in the state.
The commissioner reiterated that the road safety men will be deploy on all the major roads to control movement of vehicles and parks ,Museums shall be safe during the festivity .
He called all the people of the state to respect the rules of law and respect the laid down procedure of security men.
He emphasized that the Area where there is ongoing killings, we have place two police out post units to help curtain the rampant attacks in those affected communities.
CP Oki disclosed that the state command is having enough policemen on ground to fight crime by partnering with “Operation Safe Heaven” and other security agency in the state.
He noted that when police are checking vehicles on the roads other should be conscious of the movement of dangerous weapons by observing persons in the highway.
