SDP Reps Candidate Mai-Solar Joins Ex-IGP Adamu For Strategic Meeting With Tiv Youths & Stakeholders

In their commitment to inclusive Governance without discrimination based on religion or ethnicity across Nasarawa State, Hon. Umar A. Umar (Mai-Solar), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Candidate for Member, House of Representatives, representing Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency, joined the Rtd. IGP Muhammad Abubakar Adamu, the SDP Governorship Candidate of Nasarawa State, at a strategic meeting with Tiv stakeholders and youths from across the state at Imon Community in Obi Local Government Area.
Mai-Solar was accompanied by members of his campaign team and dedicated supporters demonstrating solidarity and commitment to the SDP movement as the party engages communities across Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 elections.
During the Events, Mai-Solar engaged with Tiv stakeholders and youths from Awe, Doma and Keana, seeking their support and encouraging them to make a crucial decision that will shape the future of their communities.
He urged the people to carefully consider his track record of service, highlighting his contributions to women empowerment, educational support, agricultural assistance, youth empowerment and other humanitarian initiatives undertaken long before seeking elective office. He emphasized that his ambition is driven by a desire to transform his years of experience and service into effective representation and meaningful development for the people of the constituency.
Mai-Solar further maintained that his extensive experience and familiarity with the National Assembly give him a strong understanding of legislative processes and effective representation. He pointed to his years of working closely with the National Assembly in Abuja as a valuable foundation that has equipped him with legislative knowledge, institutional experience and relationships necessary to pursue development opportunities for Awe, Doma and Keana. He therefore called on the people to choose a representative with the experience, exposure and connections required to effectively represent their interests at the Federal level.
In response, the Tiv stakeholders and youths expressed their confidence in Mai-Solar and Ex-IGP Adamu, declaring their support for Mai-Solar for House of Representatives and Ex-IGP Adamu for Governor of Nasarawa State. They cited Mai-Solar’s recent distribution of one trailer-load of fertilizer—1,200 bags shared across Awe, Doma and Keana—as evidence of his commitment to supporting farmers and improving agricultural productivity.
They also referenced Ex-IGP Adamu’s distribution of farming inputs to boost agricultural production, stressing that both leaders have demonstrated concern for the people even before occupying elective office.
The stakeholders declared that they believe Mai-Solar and Ex-IGP Adamu represent a leadership option capable of bringing renewed development, opportunity and progress to Nasarawa State.
