The Traditional Ruler, His  Royal Highness , Emir of Wase Alhaji Dr Mohammadu Sambo Haruna has attributed ethnicity and land ownership as the major causes of  conflict in the Council .
Haruna stated  that the crisis in Wase local government area has never been religious crisis, it has always been ethnicity problem.
Emir disclosed this to  journalists led by an international non-profit Organizations, Search for Common Ground (SFCG) who paid him a visit in his palace.
According to the Emir  the major problem facing Wase presently is the issue of cattle theft, he called on the security agencies to rescue the local government from the hand of criminals.
As a result of the crisis that bedevilled Wase, when you go to our school you will see a lot of refugees  who has been displaced, we feed them and clothe them.
Wase local Government has really enjoyed relative peace for over six (6) month now.
He called on investors to come and invest in the local government and also help to develop the mineral resources,  now that relative  peace is being enjoyed in the area.
Wase local Government is  blessed with mineral resources and also have the  most fatal  land in the state,he said.
He appreciates search for common ground for the initiative to  resolve the crisis in the area and promise to support the initiative,
His word,  I sincerely appreciate this initiative to resolve the crisis that bedeviled this my local government for years, I’m very happy, my door is wide opened for you  anytime you need my attention or clarification
The Emir also advises politicians not to over heat the polity that will cause violence in the country.

He said power belong to God and he gives   it to whoever he wishes, politics is not a do or die affair.
