The Dutse Emirate Development Association (DEDA) has as a matter of urgency drawn the attention of the Executive Governor of JIGAWA STATE- Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar to please order the removal of the 2.8 meters heavy truck barrier mounted at the gate II of the Federal University Dutse (FUD) along BARANDA – GAMBARA road.
In a statement by DEDA, it said; “Our attention has been drawn that as at the time of writing this call, about 13 people lost their Lives which was caused by the barrier. Though the aim of the barrier erected was to protect the state roads from unusual damage by the heavy trucks.
But notwithstanding the state government can use any other measures of protecting the state roads.
The spoke person of the association Dr. Ado GARBA Jangargari who is also the Secretary-General Dutse Emirate Development Association (DEDA) could confirm that people are gradually dying every day due to the problem of heavy metal barricading the road.
