As part of appreciating and commending the leadership giant strides of the Shared Prosperity Government led by the Imo State Governor, Sen.Hope Uzodinma, on the area of infrastructural development, civil servants welfare, and urban renewal projects from across the 27 LGA’s of the state, the leadership of Radio, Television, Theater, and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU, under the Chairmanship of Comr. Amb. Austin Onwuegbuchulam has paid a familiarization visit to the Commissioner for Information/Strategy,Hon. Chief Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba.
The RATTAWU meeting was successful last Tuesday, February .22nd, 2022, held at the office of the Commissioner at State Secretariat, off Owerri/Portharcourt Road in Owerri.
Speaking on behalf of the members of Imo RATTAWU, the State Chairman of RATTAWU, Comr. Onwuegbuchulam, expressed satisfaction with the application of native sense by the Imo State, Sen. Uzodinma on road constructions, worker’s welfare, and his styles of governance.
According to RATTAWU Boss, “We are very delighted to witness all the leadership styles of the govt.of Shared Prosperity. We are thanking the Governor for his landmark achievements;
The 3R government has done well, especially on the urban renewal and massive ongoing road constructions in the state. On the issue of the promotion of worker’s salaries, the Governor has promoted many civil servants in the state;
Go to World Bank/Umuguma Road, MCC/ Chukwuma Nwaoha Road and other places where so many roads construction is ongoing”, Onwuegbuchulam extolled Uzodinma.
The Chairman of RATTAWU, therefore, lauded the Shared Prosperity Government for recovering looted assets by the previous governments.
Meanwhile, making some of the union’s challenges known to the Information Commissioner, Onwuegbuchulam called on the govt.to intervene on the predicaments of the RATTAWU members at Imo Broadcasting Corporation,IBC, even he commended the Commissioner’s quick intervention.
Onwuegbuchulam moreso, extolled the Commissioner for the successful constitution of the Governing Board of the Imo Broadcasting Cooperation, IBC, which according to him, followed due process.
Responding, the Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon.Declan Emelumba, said, ” We at the Shared Prosperity Government have appreciated the contributions of the press, especially members of RATTAWU. You are in a better position to spray the good news and good works of the Shared Prosperity Government;
The 3R govt shall continue to recover all lost and stolen assets of the govt. Gov.Uzodinma loves the people of Imo State with great passion and he has done something very tangible and substantial. We should always support the govt.of the day”, Emelumba advised.
