Qua’an Pan Local Govt Chairman Impeached, See His Alleged Sins Inside

The Chairman Qua’an Pan Local Government Hon. Isaac Kwallu was today impeached, he was impeached by the legislative assembly of the council at the Local Government chambers by the councilors of Qua’an Pan LGC.

During the impeachment, it was gathered that all the 16 members of the Legislative arm of the council unanimously moved for his impeachment.

Just recently the councilors wrote a petition to the leader of the State House of Assembly on what they described as  “executive lawlessness, abuse of office, non-adherence to due process, misappropriation and diversion of public funds contrary to the law establishing local government councils in Plateau state” against Hon. Isaac Kyalle Kwallu.

  1. Refusal and or failure to hold monthly security meetings with stakeholders, considering the security posture of the State that calls for periodic review.
  2. Zonal inspectors report indicting the Chairman of not residing at the local government council Headquarters for ease of administration. This has no doubt affected the smooth running of the affairs of the Council.
  3. Willful and continues refusal to pay monthly allocation to Plateau State University Bokkos for several months now, despite the availability of funds.
  4. None remittance of statutory mandate to designated M.D.A’s, Traditional Council, Operation Rainbow amongst others.

Purchase of scanner machine at N5, 472, 000.00 (Five Million, Four Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand Naira only) and X-Ray Machine at N7, 500, 000.00 (Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira only), without due process, both by Breath Medical Concept which has since stopped functioning.

  1. Purchase of four founder block industries at the cost of N4, 654, 500.00 (Four Million, Six Hundred and Fifty-Four Thousand, Five Hundred Naira only) and conversion of some into personal business as there is no evidence of remittances into the Local government account
  2. Award of contracts without due process and requisite approval. Few amongst the contracts are:

Construction of 1.14km road by Champion Global Limited at the inflated cost of N171, 604, 918.20 (One Hundred and Seventy-One Million, Six Hundred and Four Thousand, Nine hundred and Eighteen Naira, Twenty Kobo only).

Purchase of Buses for Yahuza Doemak Express at the cost of N87, 874, 000.00 (Eighteen Seven Million, eight Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand Naira only). The buses have been on the road but no evidence of remittance to the local government accounts as a source of revenue.

Rehabilitation and installation of 33KVA Transformer by plus Concept Limited at the overrated cost of N27, 836, 000.00 (Twenty Seven Million, Eight Hundred and Thirty Six Thousand Naira only).

Fencing Phase II by Rahgife Ventures at the cost of N27, 435, 937.00 (Twenty Seven Million, Four Hundred and Thirty Five Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty Seven Naira only).

Salem Transport Palliative at the cost of N19, 805, 000.00 (Nineteen Million, Eight Hundred and Five Thousand Naira).
