Plateau PDP Of Southern And Central Zones Reject Political Exclusion In Jos North LGA

The Chairman of Plateau, Southern and Central zones of the People Democratic Party, Engr. Thomas Dimka has expressed dissatisfaction with the political arrangement of allowing only the three ethnic tribes to be the only group that can contest for the seat of the chairmanship position of Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau state while the remaining tribes are relegated to the background.

Engr. Dimka made this known at the stakeholders meeting held at Paul Gindiri,Albarkan school  ,Tudun wada in Jos North LGA  .

He lamented the political scheming by some group of selfish politicians whose stock in trade is to create division amongst them and promote the parochial interest of tribal agenda instead of building a great future for the upcoming generation.

Engr.Dimka stressed that the point that only the Anaguta, Afizere, and Berom are the original owners of Jos North LGA is what is bringing the unpalatable conflict of some groups that are now pursuing their greedy and self-centered political scheming.

According to him, the people of Plateau South and central had the second-largest votes in Jos North LGA yet they are not given the opportunity to be elected into wards, and LG electioneering processes which he lamented that must henceforth stop.

He pointed out the state belongs to all of us, we see Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, is being given chance to occupy the seat of chairmanship position, but we the indigenous tribes are totally denied from participating in the exercise that produced leaders in Jos North LGA.

Engr Thomas Dimka explained further that if the Plateau politician is willing to open the chairmanship seat to all the indigenous tribes of Plateau state, the political platforms would be interested’ to all credible persons of integrity to contribute to the development of the state headquarters.

The PDP Southern and Central forum frowned at constant backbiting by a group of few who illegally constituted themselves into a political nuisance to use the name of the platform to be grabbing what came out from politicians contesting for various seats in the state, he added.

Engr Thomas Dimka said henceforth the forum will take a stiff measure to sanction any of their member that took another step of causing confusion and setback among the faithful members of the forum.

He cautioned politicians against romancing with the wrong group who called themselves, delegates and are using the association to defraud individuals around that they have to remove Engr Thomas Dimka who is the authentic elected chairman of the forum.

We are a political association that can’t discriminate against anybody vying for Jos North LGA position, but here is Uhuru they state created a political imbalance seeing some indigene as foreigners with their biased agenda.

Engr Thomas reiterated that for the state to achieve total political progress its must play an all-inclusive politics of eschewing bitterness and togetherness which Governor Simon Lalong benefited from the 2015 governorship race.

We employ politicians to shun the politics of parochial interest and allow all qualified Plateau indigent to vote and be voted for especially where all of us abandon our villages to come and build here in the headquarters.

He disclosed that the constitutional freedom of expression and association was breached by the kangaroo gentleman’s agreement they claimed was reached, and lied on the state of our democracy.
