The Coordinator of Plateau South and Central Political Forum, Hon. David Itumu Yakubu has commended the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, Dr. Joshua Ubandoma Laven, and Member Representing Barkin Ladi /Riyom Federal Constituency, Dr. Simon Mwadkon for their support towards building the tenets of unity and oneness in Plateau state and ensuring that a credible candidate emerges in all elections.
Yakubu made this known during a town hall meeting held at Bishop Court, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state on recently in Jos.
He said the stakeholders’ meeting was to call on all Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to support their candidates in the forthcoming general elections by voting wisely.
He disclosed that why the group gave commendation to Joshua Ubandoma Laven and Dr. Simon Mwadkon because they have identified themselves with Plateau projects and they equally display loyalty to PDP.
Yakubu Itumu stressed that in 2015 the Plateau south and central zone spoke with one voice to vote for APC candidates, but now we are appealing to all our members to vote for PDP and enjoy the dividends of democracy.
He explained that the candidate for Jos North /West constituency Hon . Danjuma Azi was present at stakeholders so we are calling on our members in Jos North to support and vote for him in a PDP to clinch the seat.
We are working hard to support someone that can deliver a people-oriented project that touches the lives of grassroots and give them a sense of participation in the electioneering process.
Hon David Yakubu harped on encouraging the politics of consolidation and improving the well-being of common people, which the zones have been preaching over the years.
He added we have the population to dictate the position of Plateau state election because of our numerical strength in the state.
