Plateau Muslim Pilgrim Board To Commence Airlift Of Pilgrims For 2018 Hajj With 821 Intending Members

The Plateau State Muslim Pilgrim Board, Executive Secretary, has disclosed that at least no fewer than 821 intending pilgrims are to be airlifted with Government sponsoring 620 and 205 sponsored themselves for the 2018 Hajj.

 

Barrister Awal Abdullahi made this disclosure at the opening ceremony of Bita Orientation in Jos on Thursday.

 

He charged the intending pilgrims to perform this year hajj by reflecting on the current attacks and pray for Nigeria government, Plateau state government including Governor Simon Lalong for his commitment to peace building.

 

Abdullahi commended Governor Lalong for sponsoring 620 people which he consider as the highest number of this year intending pilgrims across the 36 States under government sponsored list.

 

He warned that anyone that refused to come and process his form thinking of putting in claim after the hajj have to forget because the present leadership would not tolerate saboteurs  who see this exercise as money making business.

 

Meanwhile, Sheikh Yahaya Jingir charged the intending pilgrims to pray for the soul of Plateau people and the government of President Muhammadu Buhari on the attacks in the country.

 

We want the restoration of peace ahead of 2019 general election as he lauded Governor Simon Lalong for maintaining the fragile peace and sponsoring more Muslims in this year to hajj than any other states.

 

He encouraged the Muslim to see themselves as ambassadors of Nigeria in promoting peaceful coexistence amongst while those of you traveling should be ready to work toward building relationship with God and mankind.
