The only female lawmaker under the APC led administration of Governor Simon Bako Lalong has been receiving series of threats to her life over lopsided appointment made in favour of the Mupun minority speaking tribe, this medium gathered.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) chairman, Hon.Latep Dabang has been accused of causing disaffection between the Ngas speaking natives and his clannish agenda of Mupun in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau state.
Our correspondent gathered that the Member representing Pankshin-North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Alice Asaje-Dimlong, has been under threats by APC Chairman, Hon. Latep Dabang, for raising alarm over the non-inclusion of Ngas people in this administration.
According to source who pleaded anonymity, he disclosed that the Chairman has on several instances cornered all appointments meant for the two constituencies to his people using his influence, hence which attracted the lawmaker’s outcry.
He said,” Dabang, has not been fair to the Ngas people, stressing, we thought he was there for all of us, but the revise is the case now. Just look at all appointments meant for Pankshin LGA and judge it yourself.
“So, why is he threatening or frustrating this woman, a woman who is representing a marginalized constituency that is APC? Do you expect her to keep mute and keep lying to them, or is it because she is woman? He should respond and stop harassing this woman!”
The Elder warned the Chairman to stop creating divisions among his people or risk losing these people’s votes to the part in the next coming elections.
He, however, called Governor Simon Lalong, to monitor the activities of green snakes that formed part of administration. Most of them are just canvassing for their political acceptability from their communities.
All efforts to reach the Chairman proved abortive as his phone lines were unavailable.
