The embattled Chairmanship of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Plateau State Chapter , Hon.Ishaya Itse has issued a warning to Hon .Rufus Bature to stop parading himself as the APC chairman in Plateau state and he lacked what it takes to suspend any member of the party.
Itse called on the APC Plateau state chapter to disregard the warning of Rufus Bature saying, any attempt to suspend anyone is tantamount to disrespect to the constitution of Nigeria.
He stated this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on the Phone in Jos , where he said that Rufus Bature is not an elected APC chairman, so therefore he didn’t have the prerequisite requirement to threaten some stakeholders with suspension.
Itse stressed that a plot issuing threat going on in the APC alleged to be an order from the former governor Simon Bako Lalong to the wards’ chairmen to effect suspension to some prominent elders of the APC doesn’t hold ground.
He said, as the sole candidate of the APC in Plateau state, I have instituted legal prowess to suspend Hon. Rufus Bature as an imposter parading himself as the leader of the party in the state.
Itse employed the APC Plateau state chapter to follow the part of honour and work for the overall interest of the party in Plateau state rather than building a wall of faction and division.
According to him, these are people that couldn’t deliver their polling units to the APC in Plateau state and are now coming out with empty threats to create tension and an atmosphere of chaos to look relevant.
He disclosed that Lalong couldn’t deliver his own ward and he loses the senatorial election due to non-adherence to the guidelines of the APC landed him in total rejection by the voters.
Hon.Itse reiterated the need for the party to work hard and reposition the structure and accommodate all aggrieved members not to be witch-hunting others for their desperation.
