Ibrahim-Hassan-DankwamboThe Executive Governor of Gombe State, Alh Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo Yesterday said the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the country would be back on her feet despite numerous challenges it is currently facing. He said, members of the party would work towards ensuring that the party is back on its feet, and even stronger.

According to him, some of the reasons why the party must be revived was that it has a purpose and desire to contribute to the development of the country.

“Our party has dropped from the National party in terms of controlled participation, to a kind of regional party now. But I assure you we will do well for ourselves, we will revamp the party, and we’ll clinch up to power again. We are not looking for power for any reason, but because we have a purpose, we want to contribute to the development of this country.”

Governor Dankwambo stated this while addressing members of the State Executive Council during its valedictory session at the State Government House,  expressing that, his administration has had many experiences in the last four years of his first tenure which were a combination of both good and bad, but had been able to manage the situations through numerous contributions of members of the the State Executive Council, Civil Servants, and the entire people of the state.

According to him, all successes recorded by his administration was as a result of sacrifices made by the administration and  members of his cabinet who have contributed immensely in their various departments and the people who believed and supported his administration.

“We all have worked as a team, complimenting each other, we have come through together, valued each other, and most importantly we tolerated each other, and that is why today we are proudly saying that we are people of Gombe state.”

He said, his administration in its next tenure would continue to make sacrifices to render good services to the people of the state. Even as he assured that his administration would strive to build a system that will stand the test of time. Adding that, government would also work towards reciprocating the people’s gesture who have re-elected him into power for the second time.
