Yakubu Busari
The Plateau State Chapter of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Itumu Timzing Yakubu has described the peaceful conduct of PDP wards congresses in Jos North LGA as a welcome development where he solicited the cooperation of aggrieved members to sheath their swords.
Speaking to our correspondent on the wards congresses held across Nigeria and 17 LGAs in Plateau state, especially Jos North Local Government Area, Yakubu expressed confidence that PDP is a loving party to beat.
He charged the wards congresses exco to continue to maintain the tenets of democracy at all levels, saying we are a people party so we must continue to promote party ideology.
Timzing frowned at the primaries held in Jos Jarawa of Jos North-North constituency where he said some hoodlum try to hijack the exercise by disrupting halfway into voting.
According to him, some group of unknown gunmen sponsored by enemies of PDP started shooting sporadically on air to scare away peaceful conduct where he called for calm amongst the delegates.
Yakubu applauded the leadership of the CTC for demonstrating sincerity and transparent Congress worthy of emulation by the opposition,
He disclosed that PDP would win all the Local Governments’ forthcoming elections if PLASIEC can’t rig the exercise because the Plateau State is home to PDP at all levels and therefore no political party will win the state without manipulation of results.
The officials alleged that one Sarki Arum ,alia sarki sarauta causes confusion by hiring thugs to come to the venue and wreak havoc leading to the damaging of some vehicles at the Congress venue.
