A group of political merchants and nation builders in Imo State was on last Saturday,May 25th 2019 at the Imo PDP Secretariat along Owerri/Okigwe road Owerri,gathered under the political platform of “PDP Volunteer Team, PVT, successfully held it’s maiden congress,with the theme:”the role of Imolites in rebuilding Imo our collective dream”.
Speaking shortly after the congress exercise,the PVT State Coordinator,Hon.Pharm.Canice Nwosu,expressively extolled all who emerged as executive members of the team and therefore charged them to duties which is basically on how to assist the Imo Governor-Elect,Hon.Emeka Ihedioha,in his leadership bid,mission and vision to rebuilding Imo State as Governor,after his official swearing-in ceremony,come May 29th 2019.
Pharm.Nwosu,while speaking to newsmen expressed satisfaction on the height of achievements so far recorded in PVT since establishment and inception two years ago.
“We are always poised to assist the incoming Imo Governor,Chief Emeka Ihedioha succeed in his rebuild mission administration with our individual ideas,innovation and in our wealth of leadership experiences”,PVT State Coordinator submitted.
Also speaking through his address presented,the Guest Speaker,Hon.High Chief Azubuike Nwoke,JP,(Omekagu Gburugburu),expressed delight for the successful congress and harped on the urgent needs to implement the theme of the PVT Congress without any delay so as to encourage rapid development in Imo State under the leadership of Chief Ihedioha.
Chief Nwoke,however classified the discussions of the theme into sub-headings about the expected roles of Imolites to play towards rebuilding Imo collectively with Ihedioha as a dream such as:”showing good understanding and cooperation,discipline,dedication and commitment,demonstrating spirt of patriotism,patience. Believe in the rule of law,due-process,embracing peace,unity and cohesion,general security,aim at provision of basic infrastructural amenities and facilities. Attention to agriculture and industrialization,amongst other social amenities for the support of lives of Imolites”.
In her own voice,an experienced woman,Dr.Mrs.Chizoba Anyanwu,from Victoria Help Foundation Owerri,disclosed her wealth of experiences in the Medical-Health Industries,even as she promised to add more value to the Rebuild Mission administration of Ihedioha as part of her own role and contributions for good governance.
Dr.Anyanwu,therefore lamented that for the past 8 years that there is no health functioning system in the state.
“The New govt.should endeavor to reposition the health system in the state by approaching those at the rural areas for effective health delivery”,Dr.Chizoba noted.
She furthermore called on the govt.to engage the people with free medicare but appealed to the govt.also to support and encourage her free medical outreach.
“I am very willing and ready to work and partner with the incoming Imo Governor to achieve success in all ramifications especially as a health worker with massive medical knowledge”,Dr.Anyanwu disclosed.
