PDP National Secretariat Confirms Hon Gombi As Acting Chairman, Youth Dinner Huge Success

The National Secretariat of the People Democratic Party, PDP has officially confirmed, Hon Amos Gombi position as an acting Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the party pending when fresh election to be conducted.

 

In a letter copy to this medium on Saturday by Hon Amos Gombi, urging him to be on acting capacity after the resignation of the former State Chairman Hon Damishi Sango.

 

The letter read, “May I humbly inform our party in the State that I have been officially directed to assume the office of the State Chairman and complete the tenure of the former State Chairman, Hon Damishi T. Sango, who voluntarily resigned on the 5th December 2019, through a letter dated 13/12/19 from the National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.

 

According to the letter, “With this development, I call on all the party structure in the State, SWC,  EXCO, CAUCUS, SEC, Stakeholders and all our party faithful to remain calm and await for official call for meeting of all the party’s structures in due course”.

 

He said, “I  solicit for your cooperation and support to chart a way forward in our party towards achieving our set goals, vision and mission in the State”.

 

Meanwhile, the PDP youths wing have organised a party dinner with a call on the members of the great party to shun internal party conflict and unite for the progress of the state chapter.

 

The event  brought all supporters of the party to round table dialogue to foster unity ,love and revamping the state chapter towards grabbing power in 2023.

 

The youths vowed that they are battle ready to scuttle power from the opposition party APC but condemn politics of characters assassinations by some desperate politicians but said they are prepared to partner with those that are willing to sacrifice for the progress of the PDP.

 

They cautioned against members not following the party ideology of maintaining the state structure and lack democracy at the local government areas as a serious setbacks to the wheel of power in Africa.
