More Crisis Rocks Plateau Plateau PDP Crisis As Sen I. D Gyang  Is  Accused Of Invading The Secretariat , Where One Was Injured

Yakubu Busari

Pandemonium broke on Monday in Jos the Plateau State Capital, when the supporters of People Democratic Party, PDP, clashed against each other at the party secretariat as one person sustained injury. As gathered by this medium, it was alleged that security personnel attached to Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Sen Istisfanu Dalyop Gyang used live bullets on loyal supporters of Hon Amos Goyol Gombi, the acting PDP Chairman.

Addressing a world press conference at the State chapter secretariat on Monday, the former Speaker RT Hon Emmanuel Goar told journalists that regrettably a serving Senator has made use of security personnel attached to him to use ammunition on the Ag Chairman, Hon Amos Gombi.

He said a personal assistant to the Acting Chairman one Mr. Mathew was beaten to comma, when I. D Gyang security guard landed at the secretariat.

The Nigeria Security personnel on Monday enveloped the state PDP secretariat following the mild drama that eschewed between the supporters of Hon Amos Goyol Gombi VS Chris Hassan in a power tussle.

The early hours of Monday saw the blockage of the movement of vehicles directly opposite NTA Jos for few minutes before the quick response from the state command of the Nigeria police Force who drafted their personnel to restore normalcy.

However, RT Hon Emmanuel Goar described the exercise as null and void and a failed coup purported to cause division amongst the peaceful people of Plateau State.

RT Hon Emmanuel Goar was accompanied by the following, Deputy Governorship candidate of PDP, Hon, Dr James Dalop, hon Bugama, Hon NaAllah Mutban including youth supporters.

He said, ” we expressed concerned that what happen this early hours at about 6am in PDP was orchestrated to disrupt the peace of the state chapter, so as an executive member of the PDP in Plateau state I have a stake  in the entire effort to strengthen PDP”.

“We walked up to hear that fresh plot of coup was going done by some of the members  ,we heard that by 6am a kangaroo meeting was going to be hold on how to oust out Gombi.

Goar explained that the issue surrounding the crisis initially was brought to a close  by the national secretariat, in which one of their condition was Hon Damishi Sango should  resign from the office which that was resolved.

Then, the National secretariat urged those 16 members who wrote the petition to tender unreserved apology and the party reconcile themselves.

They called on the  state chairman Hon Damishi Sango to resign,  and did that by handing over the authority to Deputy Chairman.

The purported meeting held this morning is hereby declare as null and void because the order wasn’t coming from the arrangement of the Ag Chairman of the PDP in Plateau state.

He registered his dismay that a responsible Senator brought in security guard to harass party loyalists by threatening their lives.

I want to advise them to follow the rule of law, they use the same law to remove Dr Haruna Dabin but now the law is not in their favour they want to bend it, we in the central zone, we are calling on the law makers to follow the position of law.

They should follow the right channel and express their grievance rather than having a kangaroo meeting in the state to cause disaffection.

Meanwhile, the Acting Chairman, has issued a statement not directing such meeting.
