The Nasarawa State Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly,Hon Mohammed Adamu Oyanki, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has said his former party, the PDP, is gone.
He gave the disclosure that PDP is no longer a PDP. He stated this during a critical Stakeholders meeting of the APC held at the official abode of the executive Chairman of Doma Local Government quarters.
“During my last election, I got 12,000 votes above my opponent, and in 2027,I will get more than 20,000 votes above my opponent.”
During the meeting, he urged the Local Government Council Chairman, Honorable Jonathan Okuba Addra, not to hesitate to set up a mobilization committee that will mobilize people to come out en masse to get their voter’s card.
On the issue of voter card, a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon.Tanko Abdullahi Zubairu (MAN), advised the House to inaugurate a committee that will work with the standing committee to mobilize the electorate to come out in large numbers to collect their voter cards.
The stakeholders welcome the Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, who jumped ship to the All Progressives Congress.
The meeting ended in a joke that the two members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Ibrahim, representing Doma South and elected under the New Nigeria People’s Party, and now in the APC, likewise Oyanki from the People’s Democratic Party to the APC.
