PCNI Commiserates With Borno State Government On Convoy Attack

The Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative, PCNI has commiserated with the Borno State Government on the violent attack on the convoy of the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima. The entourage of the Governor was ambushed while on the way to Gamboru as part of campaign efforts in the upcoming Presidential Elections.

In a press statement released by the Head of Media and Communications of the PCNI, Alkasim Abdulkadir, the PCNI condoled Gov. Shettima on the tragedy and also expressed their profound condolences to the families of the slain state officials and prayed for the repose of their souls.

“It is tragic that the officials where cut down in their prime at a time when the state and country needed their services most. The sad occurrence was coming at a time when security agencies were doing their best to stabilize the North East region”
