Over 2292 persons has been given palliatives in Dutse Local Government area of by the Jigawa State Government, the palliatives were shared across eleven political wards where eleven persons in each ward were selected to get the federal government assistance.
This was announced by the Executive Secretary Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency Alhaji Sani Yusif Babura shortly after the distribution of the COVID-19 palliatives to people in Dutse local government.
He said the distribution of the palliative materials follows the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the items FG donated to the State government include Rice, Spaghetti, noodles, Salt,Gari, Sugar, and Flour.
Speaking also, the Head of Service the State, Malam Hassan said the distribution of palliative materials was done based on merit.
Also speaking, the chairman of the council Bala Yakubu Yargaba warned the members of the committee on distribution the palliatives to desist from doing anything that will cause problems while distributing the materials as any person caught will face disciplinary action.
He, therefore, called on the people in the local government to report any person found with palliatives meant for the people.
