Over 1000 APC Members In Plateau Decamped To PDP

Over 1000 members of All Progressives Congress has defected to the People Democratic Party in Langtang North /South and Bokkos  Local Government Areas of Plateau state during the official declaration of  Hon Beni Lar who indicated he interest to contest for the Federal House of Representative in the 2019 General Elections.

 

The State Public Relation Officer of the PDP, Hon John Akan who confirmed this to our reporter disclosed that the parley organized was for all aspirants under the platform of PDP CGI for state house of Assembly, Gubernatorial seat, Senate and Presidential position to prepare their minds on the importance of the forthcoming primaries and rule and regulations of the party and the new electoral act.

 

Alkan maintained that the party is ready to play free and fair exercise to all those who want to vie for the various positions as he added that there is the need for them to support those who emerge victoriously and they should not be intimidated.

 

He promised them that the already identified delegates of PDP are all trustworthy ambassador of the party were 60% of them are statutory members who have done very well for the party.

 

The party caucus meeting was to educate the aspirants so that they can be conversant with the guidelines, we travel to Langtang North on Saturday for Hon Beni Lar programme were a lot of APC party faithful decamp to the PDP led by Mr. Nimmyel.

 

However, the only people who remain in APC are the LGA exco which very soon they will defect and on Tuesday’s in Dafo of Bokkos LGA it was mass defection led by Hon Zakka Akos.

 

John Alkan reiterated that PDP not only a political party but a movement to salvage the people of Plateau state from the spirit of maladministration and bad governance.

 

He explosion that because Simon Lalong attitude two aspirants who sponsor him are now vying for governorship seat with him, Mr. Godfrey Bawa and Yilmag these people contributed for his victory.
