As the Supreme Court prepares to hear appeal of Mr Gboyega Oyetola on the Osun governorship tussle, a top former Commissioner of the former Governor has boasted that the Supreme Court and her judges have been pocketed.

The former Commissioner from Osun East and known to be a leading ally of Oyetola spilled the beans during a private conversation with some leading clerics during breaking of fast 48 hours ago.

According to the young Ijesha politician, the Supreme Court matter is already decided in favour of Oyetola and he is surely coming back as the Governor of the state.

” The matter is settled”, he was quoted to have repeatedly affirmed to the clerics ,citing proxy contacts already established and the settlement already reached.

According to the source who opted not to be quoted because of the sensitivity of the matter, the entire deal with the Supreme Court is shielded from Mr Oyetola himself , revealing that a four man contact team is handling the matter.

On the many reports of the President- elect’s lukewarm attitude to the appeal at the apex court, the former Commissioner while partially confirming the report told the three clerics that top leaders are intervening to allow proxy action if Asiwaju will not be directly involved.

According to the report, the four man team will assume presidential name dropping under the Vice President-elect, boasting as quoted that “the job will be done”

The revelation came less than 24 hours after Mr Timi Frank alleged that some desperate politicians are pushing to use the Supreme Court to remove Governor Ademola Adeleke from office.

Reacting to the reported boast of the former Commissioner in a telephone conversation, the State Caretaker Chairman of the PDP, Dr Adekunle Akindele described the report as ‘dangerous’ and “an attempt by anti-democratic forces to stampede the judiciary”

” Whether the report is false or real, we condemn any attempt to bring the names of the judiciary into disrepute. We have strong faith in the judiciary and we are convinced that the judiciary will ensure equity, justice and sustenance of the will of the people.

“Nobody can compromise the Supreme Court on the Osun matter. The whole world is watching and we are assured that no true democrat will attempt to create anarchy by upturning the overwhelming will of the people as manifested in three consecutive elections”, the party Chairman opined.
