Osun Guber: Judiciary Cannot Be Compromised-Osun PDP

The Osun State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the boast of the former Commissioner under ex-Governor Oyetola’s government.

In a telephone conversation, the State Caretaker Chairman of the PDP, Dr Adekunle Akindele described the report as ‘dangerous’ and “an attempt by anti-democratic forces to stampede the judiciary”

“Whether the report is false or real, we condemn any attempt to bring the names of the judiciary into disrepute. We have strong faith in the judiciary and we are convinced that the judiciary will ensure equity, justice and sustenance of the will of the people.

Speaking further he said; “Nobody can compromise the Supreme Court on the Osun matter. The whole world is watching and we are assured that no true democrat will attempt to create anarchy by upturning the overwhelming will of the people as manifested in three consecutive elections”, the party Chairman opined.

It would be recalled that as the Supreme Court prepares to hear the appeal of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola on the Osun governorship tussle, a top former Commissioner of the former Governor has boasted that the Supreme Court and her judges have been pocketed.

The revelation came less than 24 hours after Mr Timi Frank alleged that some desperate politicians are pushing to use the Supreme Court to remove Governor Ademola Adeleke from office.
