Organize Labour, NLC Rally Against Scourge Of Corruption And Sharp Practices Within Civil Service

9eba1502NLC_logo-150x150_0The joint organized Labour and Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) have presented anti-corruption crusade letter of protest to  Governor Simon Bako Lalong to stamp out the scourge of sharp  practices  within the civil service.

The Labour union rally campaign for good governance commenced trekking from the old Government House Rayfield to new Government House Little Rayfield  5km all in Jos south Local government area  of Plateau state.

Comrade Bancir vowed to uncover all civil servants who engages themselves in fraudulent activities of looting the state treasures.

He explained that corruption in Nigeria takes many forms starting from embezzlement , bribery, rituals ,rigging of elections that is pronounced in the country’s political system and also public sector belief occupying its position by few who people enrich themselves.

According to him, corruption has created a very bad image for the progress of Nigeria from dubious people preventing the provision of basic amenities for the citizenry.

Adding that the  effect of corruption had destroy all the sectors, Health ,Education ,petroleum, power, agriculture, transport, goods and services, even as he said manufacturing companies were all closed down and retrenchment worsen with enormous  unemployment situation leading to under development in Nigeria ,he added.

The NLC boss lamented the country is characterized by bad road network ,constant power outrage ,lack of security ,inadequate water supply ,unacceptable health facilities and declining education system with failing communication networks and unstable economic growth.

While welcoming the NLC leadership at the new Government House Rayfield on behalf of Governor Simon  Lalong his deputy Professor Sunny Tyoden  appreciated the union for their understanding .

Lalong said, government has identified their crusade against corruption which is like a cankerworm that destroyed the entire system of the country.

He expressed confidence that the Nigerian Labour congress took the right decision of mobilizing its members; he also condemned the act in its totality.

The governor stressed that corruption start with each and everyone and added that it is for everyone to contribute toward eliminating the menace in the society, even as he calls on the NLC to partner with government to stop stealing.
