Online Journalists In Plateau Frowns At Rejection By The Lalong’s Government -Chairman
The online media journalists in Plateau state have decried rejection by the All Progressive Congress, APC Government of Governor Simon Bako Lalong.
The chairman of group Mr. Yakubu Busari described as unfortunate that during the Christmas celebration members of the online journalists reporting in Jos were shocked that they have been sidelined in Plateau by the current government.
It was gathered that funds were released to some selected media for Christmas without extending to the online media practitioners in Plateau State.
Mr. Busair speaking revealed that the Lalong led administration doesn’t want to work with the members of the online media practitioners in the state.
“We receive with displeasure the poor working relationship exhibited by the APC government in Plateau state.”
Meanwhile, one of the senior publishers of a Newspaper has condemned in its strong term how the Lalong administration treats journalists in the state.
He added that the government neglected the media which is supposed to contribute to the economic development of the state, as an employer of labour.
According to him, there is no administration that has neglected the independent publishers like this administration since its inception.
