The members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Imo State Council, have jointly commended Governor Hope Uzodinma, for his large heart by rendering succor to them through his people’s oriented styles of leadership.
It was gathered that the government of Shared Prosperity was Monday,Jan.10th 2022 in Owerri leveraged all the registered members of NURTW operating as commercial drivers with 25 liters of fuel each at some designated filling stations in Owerri.
Note that the exercise will take place only at the service stations assigned to dispense the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, and they are: “Benuak filling station and Empire Energy Filling Station”, even as those authorized for the transactions were given coupons or tickets as evidence for the exercise.
In his continuous efforts to ensure the commercial drivers benefited from the free gift of fuel by the Governor, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Hon.Comr.Sam Udeh (Ezeumuokobia), with his entourage (union members) moved to all the motor parks in Owerri Municipal where performed the courtesy handing over tickets to all the commercial drivers from one park to another.
According to Udeh, “The whole exercise on free fuel is in fulfillment of Gov. Uzodinma’s promise of Sharing Prosperity to Imo commercial drivers and transporters;
As you can see, the Governor meant well for Imo people. We now owe him an obligation to support his administration which is anchoring on Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction;
Uzodinma’s govt.is poised to rehabilitate and reconstruct all motor parks. We are must endeavor to support the govt.of the day”,Imo NURTW Boss submitted.
Expressing their joy, some drivers from Old Okigwe Motor Park Owerri and Old Market Road Motor Park, Mr.Ambrose Ndukuba, Comr.Chidiebere Okereke, Comr.Anayo Agu, Comr. Chidi Ekwebelem, Engr.Kenneth Okwuruba, Comr.Charles Ozoagwu, Comr.Orchard Igwe and Mrs.Nkeiruka Amadi, collectively extolled the magnanimity of Governor Uzodinma for remembering them with free fuel at the critical period of the New Year 2022, but promised to unflinching supports to the govt.of the Shared Prosperity Government.
Meanwhile, almost all the drivers who interacted with the newsmen at the moment expressed satisfaction with the leadership of Governor Uzodinma.
