Dispensing Of Free Fuel To Over 35,000 Drivers: ICT Chairman, Shinkachy Nwosu Extols Uzodinma

Heights of jubilation as the operators of Bus-Taxi-Imo drivers led by the  Chairman, Imo City Transport, ICT, Hon.Engr.Onyekachi Johnbosco Nwosu aka Shinkachy, was on Fri.Dec.24th, 2021, in Owerri, gladly extolled the Shared Prosperity Governor of Imo State, Sen.Hope Uzodinma, for dispensing fuel to more than 35,000 operators at some designated petrol stations in the state as Xmas largesse.

That was part of fulfilling the promise made by the State Governor, Sen.Uzodinma.

Expressing his profound joy, the ICT Chairman, Engr.Nwosu, commended the Governor for remembering road users under his mandate.

Shinkachy, in his disclosure, explained that over 35,000 operators (drivers) of ICT registered and biometrically captured have been encouraged by Gov.Uzodinma to go to some designated patrol stations for free fuel as Xmas gifts.

The Chairman revealed that ” Each of the drivers has been requested by the Governor to fill their tanks with 25 liters of fuel at the fueling stations assigned for the free fuel. ICT has recorded over 35,000 registered vehicles and all of them are happy to receive the free fuel”.

“We are solidly behind the government of the day. With Uzodinma as Imo Governor, we are in support of his 3R mantra and that of his Shared Prosperity Government. He is a good man with a large heart. He has shown us love and we must reciprocate. Imo drivers are in APC courtesy of the Governor’s native sense in leadership”, Nwosu submitted.

“I feel so elated and great that under my watch the Governor has released his love unto us as drivers. He has given us free fuel for Xmas. As a journalist, you can attest that no Imo  Governor has done what Uzodinma has done for men on wheels”, Johnbosco expressed.

“I want the Governor to assist us with the supply of higher purchase vehicles as a consideration to reduce unemployment and driver’s joblessness. Some of our drivers have no vehicle. So, with the supply of higher purchase as such bids if implemented would generate massive revenue to the Government. Many would-be engaged and such gesture will rapidly curb insecurity in the state”, ICT Boss suggested.

While lauding the Governor, Shinkachy seized the opportunity, commended Sen. Uzodinma for the construction and reconstruction of roads from across the state, especially that of Nekede Road.

“Now that the Governor has scratched our backs, we shall as well scratch his own back”, Shinkachy cited Imo NURTW slogan.

It is on record that the exercise for the free fuel dispensing shall be on ( available) for the period of seven (7) days, according to the Shinkachy.

Note that some of the designated fueling stations are: “Empire Filling Station on Owerri/Aba Road, the Ukoromi filling station along MCC/Uratta road, and Bernard filling station situated at Owerri/Portharcourt road.
