In his ceaseless efforts to ensure the satisfaction of Imo people and in the spirit of the 2022 New Year Celebration, the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Imo State Chapter, Hon.Comr.Sam Udeh, (Ezeumuokobia) was on Tuesday, Janaury 11th 2022, continued the distribution of free fuel tickets to all the commercial drivers operating in the state.

Note that the exercise for the dispensation of the free fuel to drivers in Imo State was in fulfillment of one of the promises made by the Imo State Governor, Sen.Hope Uzodinma, last year, 2021, when he vowed to leverage commercial drivers.

That was as part of appreciating the drivers for maintaining decorum and sanity on the roads during and after the festive periods in Imo.

Fulfilling the promise made by Uzodinma to drivers, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Comr.Udeh, with his entourage, moved to Orlu Road Roundabout by Warehouse Motor Park Owerri where he officially distributed the free fuel tickets to drivers plying through Owerri/Orlu Road Axis.

At the park, Udeh advised the benefited drivers to go to the designated service stations assigned for the dispensation of 25 liters of fuel to each of the drivers.

The drivers were informed to visit Benuak filling station and Empire Energy filling station for the free gift of fuel courtesy of the Shared Prosperity Government.

Some of the benefited drivers who spoke to journalists, expressed satisfaction with the current leadership styles of Governor Uzodinma, even as they assured the govt. of the day of their maximum support now and during the 2023/2024 Guber Polls in Imo.

Meanwhile, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Comr.Udeh, while addressing the drivers after the distribution of the free tickets, charged them to remain committed to the growth of the union and always support the govt. of 3R mantra led by Governor Uzodinma.
