NUJ National President Pleads With Governor Ortom To Pay-Off Entitlement Of Late Okita Ochi Of The Voice Newspaper

The National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Chris Isiguzo has pleaded with Governor. Samuel Ortom to fast track the payment of pension and gratuity to the family of late Okita Ochi of the Voice Newspaper.

The President who was represented by the National vice president zone D,Chief Wilson Bako appealed to Ortom to Pay-Off the deceased entitlement to enable his wards continued with their education.

“NUJ beg Governor Ortom not to allow the children of late Okita Ochi who put in his best for the State to suffer in misery”.

Stating that every mortal must taste death,prayer to God to guide and protect the family of late Okita whom he described as an easy going fellow.

Also the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Suleiman Abubakar described the death of late Okita Ochi as a great to the Chapel and NUJ as a whole.

The Chairman of the NUJ, Nasarawa State Council,Comrade Dogo Shamah pray for God to grant the deceased eternal life.

The Benue State Chairman of the NUJ, Victoria Asha assured the National vice president and the delegation from Nasarawa State to persuade pension and gratuity of Okita Ochi.

She said the Council would join hands with the appropriate authority to fast track the payment of pension and gratuity of the deceased.

Asha commended the Chairman of the Voice Newspaper, Grace Adingi for her holistic approach to issues bothering the welfare of staff.

The Chairman of Benue State Council expressed deep gratitude over the visit by Nasarawa delegates, saying the visit marks good cooperation between the death and Nasarawa State Council of the NUJ.

The Chairman of the Voice Newspaper, Grace Adingi applauded the delegation for the support the accorded the family and pray for journey mercy to their destination.
