NSG And  Bobtract Tractor Limited Sign MoU To Assemble Tractors In Nasarawa State

The Nasarawa State Government and Bobtract Tractor Limited have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a tractor assembly plant in Nasarawa State.

This revelation was contained in a press statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Public Affairs, Comrade Peter Ahemba, and made available to Universal Reporters Online.

The signing ceremony was held in Abuja, the nation’s capital on Thursday 11th July, 2024 and witnessed by His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi  Sule, The Executive Governor of the State.

The partnership was meant to enable the Company to make use of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)’s facilities in Lafia to assemble tractors, provide affordable and high-quality tractors to farmers in the State, enhance agricultural productivity and mechanization as well as create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the State, among others.

The partnership marks another milestone in the State Government’s efforts to attract investors in the state, transform the agricultural sector and promote economic development.

Governor Sule expressed delight at the partnership, stating that it aligns with the State’s Agricultural Development strategy and vision to make Nasarawa State a leading agricultural hub in Nigeria.

He earlier facilitated an agreement entered into between NASENI and the Bobtract Tractors to use the agency’s facilities in Lafia to assemble tractors.

The company is expected to roll out its first set of tractors within 120 days in the first instance.
