No fewer than fourteen inmates in Nasarawa State were pardoned by the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
The statement was dated 28,December 2023 with the heading Prerogative of Mercy and made available to Journalists by the Commissioner of Justice, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji.
The Commissioner affirmed that the effort was in commemoration of the year 2024, The beneficiaries of the State Government hands of fellowship are

According to the statement, “In the exercise of the powers confirmed on His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule under section 212 (1) and (2) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended ) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf and after due consultation with the State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy chaired by the Hon ‘Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, The following inmates are hereby pardoned and are forthwith to be released from the Nigerian Correctional facilities in commemoration of new year.
