Just a few days to go into the Nov.6th, 2021 Anambra State Gubernatorial Elections, the members and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Imo State, ably led by the State Chairman, High Chief John Iwuala,(Ugwumba Mbaise), with some members of his party in meeting at their Egbu Road Party Secretariat Owerri, expressed optimism that APGA will definitely win the election.

At the meeting, the Imo APGA State Chairman, Hon. Iwuala hinted that the members of his party are willing, passionate, and ever-ready to take over all the seats at the 27 Imo Local Government Councils come March 12th, 2022 LG elections slated for hold according to the Governor of Imo State.

Expressing their party’s willingness to grab all the positions made for Local Government Councils Chairmen and Councilors, the Imo APGA State Chairman, Iwuala, disclosed that the leadership, members, and aspirants of his party have all it takes to win any form of the election if conducted on the basis of free, fair and transparent exercise in Imo State.

Some of the potential aspirants in attendance joyfully unveiled their respective expressions of interest as well as exchanged pleasantries.

The ever-ready aspirants expressed optimism that they would be elected in the forthcoming March 12th Imo LG polls but called on the leadership of their party-APGA to ensure that only the most credible aspirants/candidates are given the tickets to run/contest in an electioneering challenge with the ruling party-APC in Imo State.

Responding, the Imo APGA State Chairman, Hon. John Iwuala, in his excitement, assured the party faithful that APGA under his watch must deliver, even as he advised members of the party to go into the grassroots to engage the rural dwellers and make their political intents known to the nooks and crannies of the state.

He said, “No election is small. You must be very serious in your electioneering campaigns and revive all your structures so that you will be able to win the March 12th, 2022 LG polls. Our expression of interests forms and nomination forms is always very cheap and affordable. Our collective target is to win all our elections. Do not be afraid. Do your rigorous political campaigns, convince your people and they will vote for you. We are the only political party to beat in the entire South East and Imo State in particular”.

“My only concern about the forthcoming election in Imo in 2022 is to ensure that sane men and women of capacity, integrity, and willpower are elected. Credible aspirants must be allowed and duly supported to emerge. Thank God, the party has resolved that only the most credible aspirants/candidates shall be supported to win. Victory is ours, but we must fight together with one mind as a party”, Iwuala maintained.

“Go into your Local Government Areas, do your grassroots mobilization, encourage your people to go and register and revalidate their memberships with APGA at the Ward and Local Government levels”, Imo APGA Chairman charged.
