Nigeria Labour Congress Jigawa state chapter has praised the Jigawa state government for prompt payment of workers salary and other entitlements.
The state chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress Comrade Sunusi Alhassan Maigatari made the commendation while reviewing the achievements of the union in the outgoing year.
He also noted the contribution made by the workforce to the development of the state and the government commitment to pay salaries and other entitlements and when it is due.
Comrade Sunusi Alhassan Maigatari said the union had also partnered with housing companies to provide housing to 1,000 workers on loans, stressing the Union’s commitment to support and defend workers’ rights.
The chairman further commended the government for its support and concern for workers’ welfare and called on the workers to maintain a cordial relationship with the government.
