The Plateau State Government has expressed dismay with the management of the Nigerian Film Cooperation over the in ability to develop a parcel of land that was donated to them since 1985.
The Secretary to the state government Hon Rufus Bature who didn’t hide his feelings during the week long training exercise programme for Nigeria youth in selected federal constituencies across the country.
He lamented that the 160 hectares allocated has risks revocation if the management fail to put any structure on ground to show the level of their seriousness.
According to him, this government has threatened to confiscate all the landed properties allocated federal agencies and were abandoned there without use.
He raised concern that hence the management over the years had shown lackadaisical attitude to put in infrastructure to developed the site government will be left with no other option than to commence the process of revoking the property.
He explained that the state government beings also aware of the potentials that the film industry has in contributing to the state and nation economic growth is set to leave no stone un-turn towards accelerated the industry growth.
Nature revealed that the state government resolute commitment towards a deliberate strategy of deepening and increasing the spirit of entrepreneurship, job creation and poverty reduction among our women and youth.
