Adamawa state Governor, Barr  Bala James Nggilari has tasked the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa state to work toward victory for the coming gubernatorial elections on 11th April, charging them to maintain the party’s status in Adamawa as a PDP state, expressing confidence that the PDP will emerge victorious at the April eleven governorship and state assembly elections.
Speaking to press men shortly after a stakeholders meeting held at the PDP state secretariat in Yola, the governor noted that those who contributed to the defeat of the party in the state in the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections have left the party.
Governor Nggilari said April eleven election is different from the March twenty eight election expressing optimism that PDP will emerge victorious.
The governor said PDP in Adamawa is in order, calling on supporters to vote for the candidates of the PDP.
“The April election is much more different with the last Presidential elections held in the state, I urging you to see the credible leadership qualities in Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to come out en-masse to vote for PDP and state house of assembly candidates
He called for the maintenance of peace and stability in the state.
Governorship candidate of the PDP, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu said supporters of the PDP are energized and will work tirelessly towards ensuring that mistake during presidential election do not repeat itself.
He expressed readiness to ensure that people of the state get nothing but the best if elected governor.
He said PDP is strong and intact in the state.
State chairman of the PDP, Chief Joel Madaki said defection of some of its members to another political party will not affect the party in any way.
He noted that those who left the party were the ones that created problems for the party from national to state level, saying their departure is a good development for the party.
Chief Madaki said PDP in Adamawa has identified its loopholes and that people will be surprised with the outcome of the governorship election.
