NDE In Collaboration With Hon Maitala Haruna Empower 1000 Women/Youth

Over One Thousand (1000)Women and Youth in Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency of  Plateau state have received N10,000.00 each as an empowerment scheme to improve and enhance their businesses through multiplied effect.

 

 

The National Directorate of Employment, NDE, Plateau State Chapter in Collaboration with Hon.Alh.Maitala Haruna (Turakin Jere) Member Representing Bassa /Jos North Federal Constituency assembled at the Jos North Local Government Council hall on Saturday for the disbursement of micro-enterprise enhancement loan scheme to 1000 to participants in Plateau state.

 

The Member representing Jos North /Bassa was represented by Hon Philip Adik Asantu one of his aides.

 

Hon Maitala expressed confidence that the program is aimed at improving the well-being of women and young innovative, experiential life skills training for scheme to vulnerable.

 

According to Hon Maitala Haruna, “I  have been driven by my campaign promises to the people my constituent and to serve the people of this constituent effectively and today, I  have over 1000 beneficiaries selected in various communities to benefit “.

 

“You would recall that,” we equip and empower young people with critical life skills and give them the tools necessary to thrive.

 

 

We have reached over 1,000 young people with payment of SSCE, and our desire to help reach more is underway “, Maitala added.

 

He disclosed that this program marks a milestone in the history of the empowerment program to make the people self-employed and self-reliant in tackling the scourge of poverty in our society.

 

Maitala admonished all the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds given to them by channeling it into the meaningful investment to better the conditions of their households.

 

The NDE Director, Alh Ibrahim Abdulrazak Ardo says,” I sincerely welcome the people to this occasion of disbursement of micro-enterprise enhancement loan scheme to the women which are designed to improve and promote the economic welfare of the people.

 

He stated that the scheme is designed to assist people with micro-enterprise in fighting the scourge of unemployment and wisely invest the money towards addressing poverty in Jos north, Bassa constituency.

 

Ardo commended the governor Simon Lalong for the overwhelming support given them to achieve tremendous success in reducing unemployment.
