NBA Chairman, Ilesha Branch Osun State Writes Court President Over Appointment Of Justice Oyewole As A Member Of Osun Appeal Panel

DEAR SIR,
JUSTICE, FAIRNESS AND EQUITY: NOTICE TO YOUR LORDSHIP ON THE APPOINTMENT OF HONOURABLE JUSTICE JOK OYEWOLE TO SIT ON THE APPEAL OF OSUN STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION PETITION.
1:00 I am a Legal Practitioner and current Chairman of Nigeria Bar Association, Ilesha Branch Osun state, Nigeria.
2:00 It is my duty as Legal Practitioner to promote Rules of Law, equity and Justice in Nigeria and beyond.
3:00 It is important to bring this to the Notice of your Lordship that I have it on good authority that Honourable Justice JOK Oyewole is one of those justices to be appointed by your good self to serve in the Appeal Tribunal of the Osun Governorship Election Petition.
4:00 Please note that JusticeJOk Oyewole is a benefactor of the Appellants and will find it difficult to dispense Justice on the hard matter of Laws and facts of this appeal.
5:00 The above reason snowballed to the fact thatALHAJI GBOYEGA OYETOLAwho is the 2nd Respondent (now Appellant) is the nephew of Senator Bola Tinubu and former Chief of Staff in Aregbesola’s Government (Former Governor of Osun State)
6:00 My Lord, the said Aregbesola’s Government nominated Justice JOK Oyewole through the Osun State Judicial Commission to be the Chief Judge of Osun State even though he was a judge in Lagos State Judiciary.
7:00 I wrote a Petition then against this and even the Osun State Judges signed a Memo to the National Judicial Council against this. Honourable Justice Aloma Muktar ( the then Chief Justice of Nigeria) rightly refused to accept the nomination and it was the second name on the list from Osun: Justice Ojo that was confirmed by the National Judicial Council.
8:00 My Lord, the same Justice Oyewole was later presented by the same Aregbesola’s Government to the National Judicial Council in 2013 to use Osun’s slot in the Court of Appeal which President Jonathan later confirmed. Based on this MY LORD, there is still rompus in Osun State today.
9:00 Without much ado, Justice JOK Oyewole got to the Court of Appeal through the efforts of Tinubu/Aregbesola and Oyetola (now Appellant).
10:00 My Lord, considering all this, how on earth will he not Favour the above three persons in his dispensation of Justice in this Appeal.
11:00 Without stealing Lightening from Thunder, he will definitely be biased and Justice in this case will be denied outrightly. I therefore pray My Lord to get a different Person and appoint him to sit on the Appeal of Osun State Governorship Election Petition.
