National Library Of Nigeria’s Training Arm, CALIM To Commence NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN LIBRARY SCIENCE 2021/2022 Academic Session
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has upgraded the National Library of Nigeria’s Training Centre, “Centre for Advanced Library and Information Centre (CALIM), Enugu to a Diploma Awarding Institution.
In view of the above, the Centre is set to commence admission into the Diploma in Library and Information Science (DLIS) for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.
Prospective candidates who earlier sat for the Joint Matriculations & Admissions Board’s (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME) for the 2021/2022 Academic Session who wished to be admitted in to CALIM’s Diploma Programme should do a change of Institution following the ‘procedure required by JAMB. Candidates are to choose National Library of Nigeria or Centre for Advanced Library Management (CALIM) as may be found on the database of JAMB.
CALIM serves as a centre for research in library practices and a training centre for the domestication and inculcation of novel library service practices acceptable internationally.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates are expected to possess the following:
1 Senior School Certificate or its equivalent with a minimum of five (5)credits, which must include English language and Mathematics and
2. Must have scored a minimum of 100marks in JAMB’s UTME.
