The National Environmental Health Council of Nigeria has honoured the Founder and President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Gwarzo, with the prestigious Environmental Health Restore Enhancer Award.
Under the prestigious award, the Council bestowed on Mr Gwarzo the category of National Environmental Health Excellence Award, NEHEA-2025, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to environmental health and safety in Nigeria.
The award was presented to Mr Gwarzo by Dr. Baba Yakubu, Chief Executive Officer and Registrar of the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria on Saturday, March 19, 2025.
In his remark at the occasion, Mr Gwarzo expressed deep appreciation for the honor and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to innovation and partnerships aimed at enhancing environmental and public health in the country.
The professor expressed the readiness of MAAUN to collaborate with the council with a view to promoting environmental and public health not only in Nigeria but at a global stage for the benefit of mankind.
He emphasized the importance of expanding access to educational courses and programs that empower professionals and communities to improve health outcomes and environmental safety across the country.
This recognition further underscores Mr Gwarzo’s visionary leadership and dedication to sustainable development through education and innovation.
