Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule has scored a goal in a penalty shot out between old-timers of Nasarawa United Football club and old-timers of Super Eagle of Nigeria.

An ex-international, Nwankwo Kanu score a goal in a shot out in the first half, The 90 minutes match was attended by over 8 ex-international players to includes the goalkeeper, Peter Rufa’i, Tijjani Babangida, Joshua Obaje, and former Couch of Nasarawa United, Daniel Amokachi.
Other players are Austin Egwavon, erstwhile Technical Adviser to Super Eagle, IfenyivEkwueme and indigent of Nasarawa State, and an ex-international, Emmanuel Makama Osanga and Couch Bala respectively.
On the side of Nasarawa United Football Club, The State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule was the Captain and best player, The Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe,Dr. John Mamman,Uba Isa (Jagundo),Baba Loti, TY Osungle, Baban Larai.
The football match which marks part of Nasarawa State@25 was well celebrated with group pictures as well a prayer session which lasted for over one hour.
The State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule in his speech thanked all those that pray for the State, saying the founding fathers of Nasarawa State deserved a special place in the history of the 25 years State.
He stated that all those that assisted the State in one way or another especially the monarch would be honored for their immense contributions to the development of Nasarawa State.
Captain Abdullahi Sule opined that the State Governor
“We will organize a postmortem for our past leaders like Sylvester Oho Ayih and other prominent personalities”.
Also the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture And Tourism,Barrister Yusuf Musa said the State Governor would not hesitate to honour His Royal Highness, The Abaga Toni,Sylvester Oho Ayih and amongst other personalities that contributes in one way or the other.
He disclosed this when Ministry paid an awareness campaign to the Royal Father in his palace in Garaku.
The Permanent Secretary called on the district and village heads to mobilize those that attend the age of 18 to go acquire their voters’ card with the ongoing Continued Voters Card.
Saying it is only your voters’ card that can change the narrative.
