The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Muslim pilgrim Welfare Board,Abubakar Hassan Na-Laraba has cautioned 2017 intending pilgrims to shun drugs ,Kolanut, T-shirt of political parties and other related luggage’s that may havoc their Journey to the holy land.
He averred that the federal government has made enough provision for the supply of drugs to all intending pilgrims, he further stated the federal government has also alongside made provision for adequate medical team.
Na-Laraba hinted this during the final enlightenment and campaign lecture by the board, the Secretary said the extension was to enable those that deposited hajj fare to ensure the completion of their fare by next week or lose their seat.
The Executive Secretary asserted that there was also provision for the feeding of intending pilgrims twice at Makkah and Medinah,he however cautioned the intending pilgrims to pay money for hadayah at home in other to reduce the stress faced pilgrim while at the holy land.
“Is preferable intending pilgrim pay money for sacrifice (hadayah) at the state pilgrim board office”.
Clerics at the lecture called for the increase of Traveling Allowance to pilgrims, the Secretary, Abubakar Hassan Na-Laraba commiserate with the Andoma of Doma,Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah over the demise of his sister who died recently after a protracted illness.
The Andoma of Doma in his opening remark stressed on the need for intending pilgrims to exhibit high level of maturity while at home and in the holy land.
The Andoma of Doma cautioned pilgrims against carrying prohibited items along as he applauded the board for organising the event.
The Public Relations Officer, Abdulrazaq Muhammed in his speech challenged intending pilgrims to deposit or pay their fare to only staff of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
