The Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced ₦8.245 million as the fare for the 2026 hajj exercise, following consultations and harmonization with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
The board’s Public Relations Officer, Abdulrazaq Muhammad, also announced December 31, 2025, as the deadline for full payment of the hajj fare by intending pilgrims from the State.
The statement advised intending pilgrims to commence payment immediately through designated banks and channels recognized by the board. Failure to meet the deadline may result in exclusion from the 2026 hajj exercise.
The board emphasized the importance of early payment to facilitate planning, visa processing, accommodation booking, and flight arrangements.
The Executive Secretary, Mallam Idris Al-Makura, assured the public that the board remains committed to ensuring a transparent, safe, and spiritually rewarding pilgrimage for all pilgrims from the State.
The board appreciated the cooperation of the Muslim Ummah in Nasarawa State and urged all relevant authorities and stakeholders to take the announcement seriously.
