Nasarawa State High Court  Remands  Saminu Adamu For Impersonating Nasarawa Governor

The High Court of Justice sitting in Nasarawa State has charged one Saminu Adamu, Male of Number 5, opposite Emir’s place, Bichi Kano and also resident of Keffi town of Nasarawa State for Impersonating the executive Governor of  Nasarawa State, Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ibrahim Buba of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligent Department filed case number NSD/LF/146c/2019 between the State Commissioner of Police as complainant and Saminu Adamu as defendant.

The Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Umar Dikko while  reading three count charges averred that Saminu Adamu, Male, of Number 5, opposite Emir’s palace,Bichi Kano and also resident of Keffi town of  Nasarawa State between May 2019 and August 2019 at several times while serving a jail term in Kuje prisons, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja impersonated the executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule by calling some State Governor and other personalities across the country with GSM number 08112476757 with IMEC number 35597909478715 which you illegally registered with the name the executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi Sule and introducing yourself to them as the said executive Governor of Nasarawa State knowingly fully that you are not the person of the Governor and do not occupy the position of the Governor and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 132 of the penal code law of Northern Nigeria as applicable in Nasarawa State.

Second count charges read thus: between May ,2019 and August 2019 at several times while serving a jail term in Kuje prison FCT,Abuja while pretending to be a staff of the Department of Petroleum Resource (DPR) called one Muttaka Abdulhamid a staff of A.A RABO Filing Station Kuje branch with GSM number 08112476757 with IMEC number 35597909478715 which you illegally registered with the name of the executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule and introduced yourself as a staff of DPR and then informed him to give your wife his account number for money to be sent to her ,knowing fully that you are not a staff of DPR and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 132 of the penal code law of Northern Nigeria as applicable in Nasarawa State.
