The General Manager of the Nasarawa State Vocational and Relevant Technology Board, Dr.Idris Umar Idris has decried the lack of patronage of their products as a major impediment to the innovation ongoing in the Centre.
Idris expressed displeasure over the way and manner products from them suffer in silence with the breakthrough made by their students.
He reeled out some of the innovations to include the manufacturing of hatchery machines that hatch seventy chickens at a time.
The General Manager explained that the machine can either be operated by solar or electricity, He listed other equipment produced to include pounding machine.
It was of recent that the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board partners the Relevant Technology Board to supply them solar panels and poles.
Other machines produce locally are ventilators, He opined that all the existing skill Acquisition centers in Doma, Wamba, and Nasarawa are in good condition.
Calling on the State Ministry of Education and the Nasarawa State Hospital Management Board to patronize them in the area of double bunk, solar panels, and poles, hospital equipment like bunk, etc.
He urged parents and guardians alike to take advantage of the Vocational and Relevant Technology and the Skill Acquisition section.
“What we are doing is we are grooming both graduates and undergraduates in different skills that are under the skills acquisition while for Relevant Technology we train under age for three years Programme”
He stated that any students that passed through the school have the advantage of graduating with two certificates.
