Nasarawa PDP Boils As Party Chairman Hijacks  Ward Congresses

It was a twist of event at the State Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party along Jos road following an outbreak of internal wrangling caused by the State Chairman,  Francis Orogu.

 

A disagreement erupted following the non-availability of both officials of the party at the national level and State, this development foist two of the contestant into the office of the party Chairman of the State, Hon.Jibrin Sabo Keana and Hon.Sidi Bako to organized a press conference at the party Secretariat titled “PDP CONGRESS FAILS TO HOLD IN NASARAWA STATE”.

 

According JSK, revealed that the ward congresses that was planned by the National Working Committee of our party and scheduled to hold today 7th, March, 2020 did not hold in Nasarawa State.

This is sequel to the non-arrival of electoral officials and material for the exercise in all the wards across the state, Every effort made to inquire on the non-availability of party electoral officials and material proved abortive.

 

On behalf of ourselves as aspirants for the State Chairmanship position and our teeming supporters , we hereby put the National Working Committee and party stakeholders on notice to be aware of its attendant implications.

 

To this effect, any result purported to be a product of ward congresses in Nasarawa State is false, null and void and wont be accepted by us and our teeming supporters.

It is a matter of great regret that the incumbent State executive having led the hitherto vibrant party in the State to its worst electoral outing in 2019 general election is by this action laying foundation for the total failure of the party in the State.

 

The NWC is hereby invited to call the SWC to order and to put in place a neutral panel that will carry out a rescheduled ward congress in the State in order to avoid further damage to the party.

In the party office of Doma Local Government one of the outgoing executive, Ibrahim BBC during an observation stated that the copy of list of delegates given to them to cross check was a photocopy not original copy.

 

Also woman politician vying for an elective position who pleaded anonymity maintained that apart from the delayed in the distribution materials election did not hold.

 

“How do you expect credible, free and fair election when Orogu hijacked electoral process at the ward congress as she further said women are waiting anxiously up to nine 9:00pm cloak.

 

The State of the party, Francis Orogu would not be reached for comment as at press time.

 

 

Only time shall tell whether Nasarawa PDP will withstand the heat it generated.
