Nasarawa Organized Labour Gives HOS Sallah Package Before Gov. Sule, Says Is Part of The Disharmony

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Alhaji Sule has warned the Head of Service, Nicholas Abari Aboki to dissociate himself from the ongoing lacuna in the Nasarawa State Organized Labour.

 

The Governor hinted this when the Union under the headship of the new chairman, Comrade Yusuf Sarki Iya paid him Sallah homage at his farm in Gudi Community of Akwanga Local Government.

 

Engr. Sule frowned over the reaction of members of the Organized Labour acussing the Head of Service of sharp involving in causing industrial disharmony aftermath of the free and fair election that ousted Comrade, Abdullahi Adeka who is seeking for re-election.

 

Iya in his speech congratulate Governor, Engr Abdullahi Alhaji Sule, saying the organized labour would accord the incumbent administration all the support to succeed in piloting the affairs of the State.

 

“We the leadership of labour Union would find time to present to you our blueprint which he said comprises of all the plight of Civil Servants and retirees”.

 

Adding that the Union has a better plan to ensure Industrial harmony for the interest of the State with the new Government in place.

 

As he pray God guidance to the Governor and his team while in office.

 

The Governor apologizes to the leadership which comprises of Trade Union Congress (TUC) Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) amongst others.

 

Engr.Sule sues for peace amongst the leadership of the Nasarawa State wing of the Organized Labour, urging them to settle their wrangling for peace to reign.

 

According to him,” I’m aware of the rumpus in the Union following the outcome of your election, thank God that the National Secretariat of the NLC has wade into the leadership crisis that rocked the Union

 

As the Chief executive I will welcome all the two factions that visit me, and for now we are waiting for the outcome of the Union’s resolution on Thursday this week”.

 

He said his administration in a determination to end the differences would set up a committee to work with the Head of Service, Nicholas Aboki.

 

The Governor reiterated that the restructuring of Civil Service would remain one of his cardinal objections while in office.

 

“If really we are better parents we should prepared a better ground for our children”.he further confided that something urgent needed to be done to salvage the Civil Service from derailing.

 

My Government would remain focused by rewarding active Civil Servants and as a responsible Government I don’t get myself into issues involving Organized Labour.

 

“The number one partner of Government is the Organized Labour”

 

I have no hidden agenda as an Industrialist I worked with members of NUPENG, NARTO and PENGASSEN without any ramcor.

 

He however averred that under his able leadership issues of Basic transport and other entitlement would be the right of Civil Servants.

 

Following the rowdy reaction by the leadership of the Union and some members that shouted the HOS is part of our problem and resisted his selection to serve as a mediator between the Union and Government, the Governor urged him to dissociate himself from issues affecting Organized Labour.

 

Some Union members alleged that the Head of Service, Nicholas Aboki prevented the new Chairman of the Organized Labour, Sarki Iya from attending a meeting instead invited the former Chairman, Abdullahi Adeka.

 

All efforts to speak with the HOS hit bricks wall.

 

The Union ,it could be recalled there was a sour relationship with the former Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura leading to a peaceful protest that claimed lives of two workers at the main entrance of the Shendam road Government by security agencies.
