The former secretary of the National Judicial Council (NJC) Danladi Halilu Emvulanza has clinched the senatorial seat of Nasarawa North.
The APC Governorship aspirant in the 2019 election floored the occupant of the seat, Senator Godiya Akwashiki to emerge victorious.
Emvulanza polled 105 votes against the incumbent who polled 21 votes, the defeat of Akwashiki popularly known as Bulldozer may not be attributed to the use of the Abuja list, which was meant to crush all political sons of the immediate past governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
The removal of Hon Mohammed Agah Muluku from returning to the state assembly, Nasarawa Eggon East as well as the majority leader of the House, Hon Tanko Tunga representing Awe North constituency is a clear vendetta to scuttle his re-election to the senate.
Though tongues continued to wag on the letter of withdrawal from the race by the incumbent senator, Godiya Akwashiki.
