Nasarawa NMA Applauds PDP Governorship Candidate For Providing Motorized Borehole To Ubbe Community

The Nigeria Medical Association , Nasarawa state Chapter  has applauded the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, David Ombugadu for promising to sink a motorized borehole to Ubbe Community of Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.

 

The chairman of Physicians week 2018 ,Sabo Emmanuel Ombugadu asserted this during an interview with selected Journalists marking this year’s Physicians week with a theme “Universal Health Coverage, Leaving No One Behind”

 

Ombugadu revealed that the Association extended her hands of fellowship by offering free medical treatment at Ubbe.

 

Saying the major hiccups of Ubbe Community is lack of potable drinking water,he said absence of drinking water is a serious quagmire affecting the Area.

 

“NMA reach out to PDP governorship candidate, David Ombugadu who instantly agreed to provide a motorized borehole to Ubbe Community.”

 

The Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association, Nasarawa state Chapter,Dr.Bulus Peter Umaru stated this in an interview with selected Journalists.

 

The Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association called on Nasarawa state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to as matter of urgency assent the Health Insurance Scheme which passed third reading by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

 

Bulus averred that the billed if sign into law would go a long way to proffers solutions to the anomalies derailing the Health sector in the state.

 

The Chairman said the Association is doing all it best to fish out quacks causing untold hardship to the entire system.

 

Bulus said NMA is working other sister Association like Nigeria Dental Council to get ride of imposters growing fat in the name of NMA.

 

He identified some of the nagging challenges of the Association to lack of will power, absence of funding to engage security agents in fighting quacks.

 

 

“We would not relent on our part to embark on advocacy to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence to assist the Association in fighting impostors”
