Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has uncovered that the present regime in her effort to fast track accelerated development in the state has cleared debt incurred by successive administration, Adding that the All Progressive Congress paid over N40bn debt.
The governor gave the hint during the constitution of Inauguration committee headed by Deputy Governor, Silas Agara and other creme d’la creme while the Transition Appraisal committee was headed by Jönah Ogbole with notable technocrat.
He affirmed that he met a daunting financial profile of the state on assumption of office, “we succeeded in paying barely N40bn debt inherited”.
Describing the state as a debt-free state, commending the people of the state for supporting him even at the trying moment.
