Nasarawa Government Build E-Libraries To Uphold Reading Culture In The State-Deputy Governor

The Nasarawa state Deputy Governor, Silas Ali Agara has said the building of E-libraries cut across the three senatorial district of the state was aimed at revivifying the dwindling of reading culture in the state.

Agara gave the disclosure when members of the Association of Nigeria Authors paid the state Deputy governor a visit at his office along Shendam road Lafia.

He opined that the establishment of E-libraries in Akwanga, Lafia, Nasarawa, Karu and amongst other local government was meant to uplift the dying reading culture.

He called the Association to be at the forefront of creating awareness on utilization of facilities in the e’libraries as he lament on the dying reading culture among Nigerians.

The Deputy Governor also called for the formation of creativity clubs in schools, saying the formation of creativity clubs would in no small measure rejuvenate the standard of education in the state.

Silas Agara identified piracy as a major hiccups killing creativity industry in the country and called on the need to put a mechanism that would checkmate the activities of pirates along Karu-Abuja axis, describing piracy as a menace to creativity.

“Is an industry where your talents will open doors for you without waiting for a white collar job”.

The state chairman of the Association, Muktar Wakeel applauded the Deputy Governor for his immense contributions towards state building and other unflinching support to ANA.

Wakeel applauds Silas Agara for extending his hands of fellowship to the Association as well Sport Writer’s Association of Nigeria.

The chairman appreciated the holistic effort of the second citizen in all ramifications.

The immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed eulogised the Deputy governor for his immense support to ANA in the state.

Saying frequent reading broaden ones horizon and commended the Association to maintain the tempo.
