Nasarawa: DSS Grills NSUBEB DAS, Others Over Corruption Allegations, Promotion Spree

Operatives of the State Security Services (DSS) , Nasarawa State command has whisked away the Director of Admin and Supply (DAS) of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) .

The director, it was gathered was whisked away by the DSS in his office, according to insiders, DAS was arrested because of the whereabouts of the Executive Chairman, Mohammed Musa Dan’azumi who was not in the office as at press time.

Feelers buttressed that he was grilled and taken to the Shendam road custody for questioning by the secret police.

Pundits maintained that NSUBEB has been enmeshed in corruption due to either nonexecution of projects or indulging in shabby projects by the construction firms as well as having hands shabby promotions.

Insiders said the DAS declined the invitation to the service, it was gathered that he did not only turn down the invitation but attacked one of the operatives.

This according to eyewitnesses foisted the service to handcuff him for resisting invitation by the headship of Nasarawa command.

It was reliably gathered that apart from the DAS many top officials were also grilled for questioning over promotions-related issues.

The Chairman of the board would not be reached for comment, but the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) , Baba Gana when contacted confirmed that the management is in a marathon meeting in relation to the issue of DAS and he will get back to Journalists.

The officials of NSUBEB, Universal Reporters can authoritatively reveal that they have been mostly guests of the anti-graft agency, this started after the expiration of the tenure of the then executive Chairman, Mal. Abdulkarim Mohammed known as Mr. Due Process.
